LOWWWWW WATER TROUT REPORT......
Headed out with some good ole Mississippi boys from the Hattiesburg area on Saturday. T.J and Tony whom are both in the contracting business, wanted to get in on some of this crazy trout fishing, and hopefully learn a few "new" spots along the way.
Well when we left BSM the tide was lower than it was at the end of last week. I pointed us to the MRGO where there was still plenty of deep enough water to fish and worked a ledge in about 10' of water, not too far from the dam.
Turned out the fish were there and in full force. We caught the fish good on the Flurries for a while, then they slowed some. I immediately recognized what was going on and talked the guys into switching back to live boogies. That did the trick!
It was one stop shopping for our 75 trout by 8am, and were able to beat the rest of the falling tide. The fish were caught both under corks and carolina rigged with a splitshot.
