Had the pleasure of bringing out the James Oertling group, from Baton Rouge. James brought along his dad Lorie, and brother "Do It Again" Ben.
We fished all around the inside the North marsh where we had previously been catching a lot of fish. This day was different and the fish weren't cooperating.
We had to go on the hunt and snuck out to the edges. Several spots later and only a dozen fish in the box at ten am. I was starting to sweat it, when all out the blue the next stop had 10-15s jumping out the water and the trout were annihilating them.
The trout were nice and eating up Live "Boogie" Shrimp! "Do it again" Ben was holding down his own with the Full Throttle Flurry, and I was caught in the middle of this mayhem. With a bite like this, it didn't take long to finish up! We headed back to the barn with 75 specks and 20 whites in the igloo. ANOTHER OUTSTANDING DAY IN HOPEDALE!!!
This Fall has shaped up to be one for the books. Fishing is just PLAIN STUPENDOUS! Trout are going absolutely nuts and when the water is up the redfish are crazy too!
