WINDY WINDY REDFISH!
I had the pleasure of fishing with my good friend Brad Williams on Sat Oct. 8. The forecast the day before was grim to say the least. He and his co worker, Ben, were just plain ready to go no matter what the conditions. I told them it may be tough and reds would be our best bet.
So we stuck to our guns and headed for the duck ponds where we had been catching redfish recently by the droves. Mother nature had also stuck to her guns, with winds steady at 28-30kts and gusting higher.
Long story short, we gave Ben a quick crash course and the fish started coming to the boat. Ben caught his first redfish and numerous ones later, along with a pretty fat flounder to add in the box.
All in all the guys caught a lot of fish in general but a ton were undersized. In the end the guys finally boxed their limit of redfish and a few other species to add in the box.
