HOPEDALE/DELACROIX REPORT.....

I had the pleasure of fishing with "the Digger" again. Pat "GraveDigger" Derbes of Providence Park Cemetary, brought along two of his brother in law, Robert and buddy, Stuart.

We fished around the Delacroix side finding alot of dirty/river looking water. Fished seemed to be few and far between. Got lucky and found some decent water in a canal off Island Bay. Fish were there, hungry but finicky! They wanted the bait free drifting. Once we recognized this, I gave everyone on board a crash course.

Digger batted clean up, while Rob and Stu held their own. In short order they got the count up to 75 and were headed back to BSM early. It was another grand time with the Digger as always and can't wait til the next! (Have I ever mentioned he makes the best overstuffed sandwiches with rb, ham, turkey, pepperoni, pepper jack)

All fish were caught on live shrimp 4' deep under corks.

Fishing right now is still good as it gets on your better weather days between fronts. We are looking forward to another fantastic fish catching year this 2012. Be sure you don't miss out!!! Get your trip on the books, ASAP! REMEMBER, MOON DATES FOR BIG TROUT AND WEEKENDS, GO QUICK!!!
